So I'm finally getting a chance to type up the birth story of our 3rd son. Our rainbow baby, Baby "T", referred to as Tiny. Last year, at the end of February we found out we were expecting another baby. I'd been nursing our toddler, so the pregnancy was completely unexpected but not unwelcome. We were surprised and happy. However, just a few week later I began to miscarry. We had an early pregnancy loss. We were devastated. But I grieved by helping 3 mamas welcome their babies earthside within a two week period. It was healing for me to celebrate with those beautiful mamas and their families. Just a few short months later, the end of June, we found out we were expecting our rainbow baby. And after waiting to pass the first trimester, we began to prepare for our 2nd homebirth. |

EDITED: 14 January 2019 *Updates: links to Special Ops Doulas seem to no longer be working. I do still offer a limited number of low/no-cost volunteer births based on financial need and always offering a military discount to ALL service members. The number of volunteer births I can attend solely depends on the funds available in my "volunteer account" which is replenished by tips and donations (tho I am not a non-profit organization). The Military Doula organizes volunteer birth and postpartum doula services through the Special Ops Doulas program. This program consists of professional doulas who have chosen to show their appreciation for the sacrifices military families make by freely volunteering a portion of their services to military families.
So I have pretty eclectic tastes, hobbies, likes, etc... I've been working on my bucket list for a while. I actually found a letter a couple years ago - I wrote it while I was in high school, from my 16yr old self (when I graduated high school) to my 26yr old self, lol.
It was mostly superficial things, like having multiple types of vehicles (which if I includes hubby's, I've accomplished that, lol), move to Hawaii or Colorado (which I'm here!), get married (done twice, and this time is it), have several pets (got that covered too), and have a couple kids (done and done!). Apparently I wasn't that focused on career goals ("possibly be done with veterinary school", that career path has obviously changed), but I did accomplish a few of the not so superficial goals (listed below with a *). So here it is, in no particular order. My ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST... So starting off the New Year, I decided to make over my massage treatment room. We've been in our home a little less than a year and I had decided from the start that I need more color in my massage room (and the rest of the house). The main issue was just figuring out what colors to use. As you can see in the before pics the room is really bland. Functional, but not soothing or fitting at all.
